SHOW INFORMATION:
The planning for the show is well underway. However, if there is something you would like to see at the show PLEASE call me @ 986-0054 and I will try to have it happen.
Annual Exposition July 27th & 28th
Featuring
INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER
This year for the Annual Exposition we will be using BUTTONS opposed to RIBBONS. All Exhibitors, Volunteers, Entertainers, & Vendors will receive a souvenir button. It will have a picture of Ron Morris's 1907 International Tractor in the centre. The cost is slightly higher than the ribbons; but, it will give you a souvenir to take home. I will try to get donations to help cover the additional expense. Your name will be on a list at the gates. There you will receive your button. Anyone not having a button will be required to pay. There will be one button per entertainer, volunteer, and exhibitor unless your exhibit requires two people to operate. We will be ordering 1000 buttons; so hopefully we will have an excellent turn out like last year or better yet, more participation. If you wish to volunteer for any positions call me @ 986-0054. I know there are some of you who are unable to do physical work and would like a button (free admission), just call and I'm sure we can accommodate you (ie: members bringing pies, phoning committees, etc.)
I will have more information on the show in the June newsletter.
RAFFLE:
I am very pleased with the response of turning in your ticket books so promptly. For those who haven't returned theirs please do so as soon as possible. Several of you have taken a second book I am very impressed. If you would like to help sell at the Farmer's Market, Safeway, IGA, or at any stores in Edmonton or surrounding area, please call and I'll help make the arrangements. Our advertising for our events is more effective by word of mouth opposed to high priced ads.
REMINDER: Please complete your survey forms and submit them as soon as possible.
Please do not put your surveys in with your tickets or membership payments as they go to two different places. If you do put them together, indicate so on the outside of your envelope. We would like the surveys to be as anonymous as possible.
